Reading drawings is an important part of metrological work, especially in the development phase of new products. Värnamo Mätcenter AB helps designers and production companies to interpret drawings and technical specifications so that components meet the requirements. Our measurement technicians scrutinise dimensions, tolerances and references in the drawing documentation to ensure that everything can be measured and verified correctly.
We also assist in the preparation of measurements, where the drawing forms the basis for how control points and measurement strategies are developed. With our experience from the automotive industry, we often handle complex, classified drawings that require high accuracy and understanding of geometric tolerances.
From drawing to finished measurement programme
Once the drawing is correctly interpreted, we can create measurement programmes in Metrologic based on the CAD file. This ensures that the measurement is performed at the right points with repeatable precision. Our measurement technicians work daily with drawings in both 2D and 3D and have extensive experience in combining drawing reading with practical measurement work.
We adapt programmes and measurement methods to the geometry, materials and tolerances of the component. Thanks to our approach, customers can be confident that every measurement result is traceable and based on the correct interpretation of the design requirements. Värnamo Mätcenter AB has offered advanced measurement technology and drawing reading since 2001. The business is located in Hornaryd's industrial area in Värnamo, where our four measurement technicians work full-time in modern premises with equipment for coordinate and 3D measurement.
Through close co-operation with industrial companies throughout the Nordic region, we have built up a deep understanding of drawing-based production and control.
